Phew...

The past two weekends in a row I've been traveling - flu begone! No complaints here however; winter cabin fever was definitely setting in so it's been great to get away. First was a return to New York City which was another whirlwind of reunions, catching up, great meals, and fabulous friends. This was my second time down in about a month and unfortunately, once again, a weekend is just not enough time to see everyone! I have friends from every part of my life: Bermuda, high school, university, and beyond all living in Manhattan. I went down with Kristen so we were each running off seeing as many people as possible, essentially having every possible meal booked with different people: breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, dinner, drinks, you name it! It all worked out really well though; even the weather perked up with both Saturday & Sunday being in the 50s! We were staying near Lincoln Center so it was fantastic to walk by the park with a hint of spring in the air. Of course, the weekend never would've happened if it wasn't for our fabulous hostess with the mostest, Kate, who put us up despite having a run with the flu herself! She's lucky enough to work at the Museum of Natural History so of course Kristen and I couldn't resist a photo in front of a diorama:
Note the irony in that we went all the way to NYC to take a picture in front of a diorama depicting events that took place in our home state of Massachusetts... Hahaha, definitely too chilly for loincloths right now though ; )
