For all of you out there who associate Chicago with terrible winters I give you this: me, on the beach, in flip flops, in November! Ignore the awkwardness of my solo pose and let's focus on the fact that it was sunny and almost 70 degrees today! We've got a few days of temps in the 60s and it's just glorious weather. My friend Jess & I made the most of it and walked along the lake, admiring the beautiful sunset & skyline. 
We also went to the zoo which is mere blocks from my apartment. It was mobbed with kids running around and their parents chasing after them, but we still managed to see some pretty cool stuff: lions, seals, camels, jaguars, gorillas, you name it. This weather is heading east so if you're in that direction, get psyched!
