St. Patrick's Day apparently is a big holiday here in Chicago - so big they turn the river green! As a newly-minted Chicagoan I knew I couldn't miss this 40-year-old tradition. So I went downtown to see it for myself and I have to say, it's quite the sight. Apparently it's an orange powder that when mixed with water, turns green. And what a brilliant emerald green it is!
